Home Visits for Sale & Consignment

If you have a large collection, multiple items or the contents of an estate, we may be able to arrange a convenient home visit. 

One of our specialists can assess your items and discuss the most suitable options, whether that is a direct purchase or consignment to a forthcoming auction.

Home visits are available for collections and estates where there is suitable auction or resale potential.

Formal Written Valuations (By Instruction Only)

Foxhill Auctions also provides formal, written valuations for legal, insurance, probate and other professional purposes.

These valuations are separate from our complimentary selling valuations and are provided as a fee-based service.

Probate & Inheritance Tax Valuations

Foxhill Auctions provides professional written probate valuations compliant with HMRC IHT407 requirements. Valuations are based on the open market auction value of items as at the date of death and are prepared for probate and inheritance tax purposes.

Fees from £300 + VAT

On-site valuation work is charged at £150 + VAT per hour, with travel expenses applicable where necessary.

Insurance Valuations

Foxhill Auctions provides fully detailed written insurance valuations, including photographs, comprehensive item descriptions and current market values, suitable for submission to major insurers.

We also provide professional written valuations for a range of legal and taxation purposes, including:

• Family Division and divorce settlements
• Capital Gains Tax
• Insurance and taxation purposes

All fees are agreed in advance, and initial quotations are provided free of charge.
