Our retail business operates online under the name Philatelic Heritage and from our physical location as the Hungerford Coin & Stamp Centre. Both names represent the same dedicated coin and stamp business. 

Philatelic Heritage allows customers to browse and purchase items conveniently online at philatelicheritage.co.uk, while the Hungerford Coin & Stamp Centre serves as our customer-facing shop at 34A High Street, Hungerford. In the shop, we display a vast selection of collectables including:

- Sovereigns

- Modern coin issues

- Proof and mint sets

- Banknotes

- Stamps and philatelic items

Additionally, our shop actively participates in the coin auctions and stamp auctions market by purchasing suitable items directly from customers. This includes coins, collections, scrap gold, and scrap silver. We strive to offer fair and competitive prices based on the items’ condition and current precious-metal market trends, providing customers an option to sell without the wait associated with auctions.

We also run a popular Facebook group called The Numismatic Auction, which brings together an active community of buyers who share a passion for coins, collectables, and collecting. On auction days, approximately 60 items, including coins and various numismatic items, are offered, with sales taking place several times each week. The fast-moving format allows members to follow the bidding, join in on the action, and connect with other enthusiastic collectors. Additionally, our group features diverse collectables auctions and even stamp auctions, enriching the experience for all collectors. To join the group, simply request membership on Facebook and answer a few short questions. These help us protect the community and ensure that new members understand how the group and its auctions operate. The Numismatic Auction offers another way to purchase coins and numismatic items from our family business.

It provides an alternative selling option for suitable items and specialist collections that can greatly benefit from being professionally catalogued and presented to a wider audience of competitive bidders. 

The Hungerford Coin & Stamp Centre serves as the official consignment and customer centre for Foxhill Auctions. Customers can bring suitable items to the shop, where our team will assess them and discuss whether they may be better suited for:

Though Foxhill Auctions is relatively new, the expertise behind it has been cultivated over a lifetime. By merging Nigel’s specialist knowledge with our established Hungerford shop and a modern online bidding platform, we offer customers a trusted and accessible way to buy and sell individual items, valuable collectables, and complete specialist collections through our focused auctions.
