2. Receive an Initial Valuation
We provide complimentary, no-obligation selling valuations. Once we have seen your items, we will advise whether they may be suitable for one of our forthcoming auctions.
Please note that an initial valuation is an opinion only and may be subject to further research and physical inspection.
3. Consign Your Items
If you decide to proceed, we will provide the appropriate consignment paperwork and a receipt for your items.
Our team will then research, catalogue and photograph each lot. You will receive the proposed descriptions, estimates and any recommended reserves for your approval before the catalogue is published.
4. The Auction
Your lots will be professionally presented in our online catalogue and promoted to our audience of collectors and buyers.
We will manage the bidding process and respond to any enquiries relating to your lots.
5. Results and Payment
Following the auction, we will provide a statement showing the results and any applicable charges.
Payment will be made by bank transfer in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, once cleared payment has been received from the buyer.

Home Visits
For substantial collections, multiple suitable items or estate contents, we may be able to arrange a convenient home visit.
One of our specialists can examine the collection and discuss the available options. Items may need to be taken away for further research before an offer, auction estimate or reserve can be confirmed.
Home visits are offered where a collection has suitable auction or resale potential. Please contact us with some initial information and photographs so we can assess whether a visit would be appropriate.
We provide formal written valuations for probate, insurance, legal and taxation purposes.
These are separate from our complimentary selling valuations and are provided as a professional, fee-based service. All fees will be explained and agreed before work begins.
Probate and Inheritance Tax Valuations
We prepare itemised valuations for probate and inheritance tax purposes, based on the relevant open-market value of the property at the required valuation date.
Fees start from £300 plus VAT.
On-site valuation work is charged at £150 plus VAT per hour. Travel expenses may also apply depending on the location.
